What should you expect throughout the move process?
Step 1: Schedule a Free Virtual or In-Home Appointment
The first important step in planning for a move is to provide the movers with a visual look at what items you are going to be moving, and the access to your pick-up residence. This initial step is crucial in providing an accurate cost for moving services as well as arriving prepared on move day. We offer a self-service virtual walkthrough, a guided virtual walkthrough, or an in-home walkthrough with one of our knowledgeable sales representatives.
Step 2: Book Your Move
After you have completed the virtual or in-home walk-through, you should review the moving estimate with your sales representative and mutually agree to the terms regarding all noted moving services. Be sure to ask any questions if anything seems unclear.
Step 3: Move Planning
After you have agreed to the moving dates and contract, CMS will connect you to your move coordinator and customer service representative, your single point of contact throughout your move. Your move coordinator will help reconfirm your dates and services, answer any questions you have and be sure you are prepared for moving day.
Step 4: Move Day
Your move coordinator will connect with you 24 hours prior to your move to confirm the crew’s arrival time for moving day. At the start of the day, the moving truck will arrive, and you will meet with the movers and crew leader to answer any question and provide direction. Someone should be available at the start and end of the day to sign off on paperwork.
Step 5: Relax: The professionals are here to do the heavy lifting!
